Lona

Lona support

Lona is an iPhone app for your closet and outfits, with AI try-ons. It's for adults (18+).

Get help

Email us and we'll get back to you, usually within a few working days:

support@trylona.com

In the app, you can also tap Me → Support, or Contact support in Me → Privacy & AI. It helps to say which iPhone and iOS version you have, and what you tapped before the problem happened. Please don't send us photos of yourself unless we need them to help.

Questions

Plans and try-ons

How do plans and try-ons work?

Free: with AI on, you get your first full-body look and three try-ons. They don't refill. The closet, outfits, Studio, Shop and wishlist are always free, and so are AI tags, colour checks and recognising clothes in your photos.

Lona Plus gives you an AI allowance that refills with every payment:

Lona Plus also unlocks Style me, Help me decide, "Where to buy", Shop a screenshot, "Goes with your closet" and clean product photos, which use part of the same allowance: a clean photo about two thirds of a try-on, a new look about two and a half, and Style me or Help me decide up to about two with a big closet. You can use up to 80 try-ons' worth a day. What's left at the end of a period doesn't carry over.

See what's left in Me → Your plan. Prices in other countries are shown in the App Store.

Does a failed or refused try-on count?

Normally not: a try-on only counts when a picture comes back. Pictures you've already made stay free to look at.

Why can't some clothes be tried on?

Lingerie, underwear and full swimwear are never sent to the AI for a try-on; Lona says so instead. For other clothes, Google's safety filters sometimes refuse a look. Lona then sends exactly the same request, up to three times in all, and then shows "Google's AI couldn't make this look this time." Tap Try again to start a new round. A refused look isn't sent again by itself for 7 days.

What do "today's AI limit", "paused" and "update" messages mean?
How do I restore or change my plan?

To restore Lona Plus on a new iPhone or after reinstalling, sign in with the same Apple Account and tap Me → Your plan → Restore purchases. To change plans, tap Me → Your plan → Change plan, or use your Apple Account's subscription settings. A move to a bigger plan follows Apple's rules, and what you've used counts against the new allowance; a move to a smaller plan starts at your next renewal.

Cancelling and refunds

How do I cancel Lona Plus?

Lona Plus is billed by Apple, so you cancel it with Apple:

Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period to stop the next renewal. You keep Lona Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments and refunds, so we can't refund you ourselves. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com: sign in with your Apple Account, choose "I'd like to", then "Request a refund", and pick Lona Plus. Apple decides and tells you by email. If Apple refunds a subscription, its AI allowance stops.

If something went wrong in the app, please email us too, so we can fix it.

Your data and AI

How do I delete my data?

On your iPhone everything is local: your closet, photos and outfits are never synced to iCloud or to us.

On Lona's server there's only a record of your AI allowance: how much you've used and, if you subscribe, your plan and its dates. It's filed under a hashed (coded) version of your Apple identifiers, with no name, email or photos, and it's deleted automatically after 400 days without AI use. To have it deleted sooner, email us. Because we can't look you up by name, we'll ask for something to find it with: for a subscription, the Order ID from Apple's receipt email. Deleting this record doesn't cancel a subscription.

At Google, AI requests already sent are kept for up to 55 days to detect abuse. "Where to buy" uses Google Search, and Google also stores those requests for 30 days for the search. We can't delete either.

More in the privacy policy.

How do I turn AI off?

Go to Me → Privacy & AI, switch off AI features and confirm Turn Off AI. From then on nothing more is sent to Google or to Lona's server, and AI features stay off. Your closet, outfits and photos stay on your iPhone and keep working. To turn AI back on, switch it on again and tap Agree.

If you chose Not now when you set up Lona, AI is already off.

How do I report an AI picture?

Every picture made with AI has Report a problem with this image: in the picture's ••• menu, or by pressing and holding it. This opens an email to us that says which picture it is. Tell us what's wrong, for example if it's offensive, sexual, shows someone who isn't you, or looks badly wrong. The picture itself isn't attached unless you add it.

We read every report, take action where needed, and use reports to make Lona safer. If you think a picture is illegal, say so in the subject line.

What does Lona send to Google, and when?

Only after you agree, and only for the AI features: for example your face and body photos for your look, photos of your clothes, and what you type into Style me. Requests pass through Lona's server on Google Cloud in the Netherlands, which doesn't store them, to Google's Gemini AI. Google doesn't use them to train its AI. The full list is in the privacy policy, and in the app under Me → Privacy & AI.

Other

Who can use Lona?

Adults (18+) with an iPhone on iOS 18 or later. Only use photos of yourself for your look and try-ons. See the terms of use.

Do price-drop alerts work in the background?

No. Lona checks the prices of wishlist pieces you turned on Watch price for, only while the app is open, each at most every 12 hours, or when you pull down the wishlist, and not in Low Data Mode. Alerts are made on your iPhone; you can turn them off in Settings → Notifications → Lona.
